Bharat Chamber of Commerce is one of the largest and leading Chambers of commerce in the country with a membership strength of more than 5000 business concerns, Corporate Houses, Professional and 36 industry and Trade Associations.

From its very inception, the prime vision of the Chamber has been service to its members, service to society, and services to the Nation at large. Its pragmatic approach has helped its association with a large number of Statesman. In recognition of its importance, the Chamber is represented on a number of public bodies of the Central and the State Governments.

The Chamber's Rural Development Programme at Rajarampur, South 24 Parganas District, West Bengal, has been widely acclaimed by both the Central and State Governments. Shri P V Narasimha Rao, Former Prime Minister, a number of Chief Ministers, a number of the Cabinet Ministers of both the State and Central Governments and other Dignitaries have visited the project site of the Chamber.

With the globalization of the economy, the Chamber's focus has been to involve the businessmen as well as the general public in programmes towards improvements of infrastructure, environment, export promotion, foreign direct investments and development of agriculture and rural economy.

The Chamber is affiliated to Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry. It is also a member of ICC of the International Chamber of Commerce, All India Organisation of employers, Indian Council of Arbitration etc. The Chamber maintains close contact with other leading Chambers of Commerce all over the country and abroad.
