Protecting and promoting the interests of business in general, and its members in particular, have been the heritage of this Chamber. The important functions and services provided by the Chamber are :

• Interaction with the Central and State Governments, to resolve individual problems of the Chamber's members and to provide feedback to the Government authorities on the various policies of the Government concerning trade and industry for fine tuning of the same.

• Organising Business Delegations to foreign countries and receiving Business Delegations from abroad to foster growth in investment and exports.

• Initiating necessary steps against critical bottlenecks in the internal trade growth of the industry and the consumers' welfare.

• Catalysing modification of Acts, Rules and Orders of the Central and State Government for removal of avoidable hurdles and making their functioning more focussed

The Chamber provides an effective forum for exchange of views in all matters concerning Industry, Trade and Commerce and is actively engaged in promoting fair trade practices and improving the public image of business through special emphasis on social accountability.

One of the important services of the Chamber is the issue of Certificates of Origin to Members and Associate Members in respect of their export consignments and render help acquiring Business Visa to the representatives of its constituents.

The Labour Cell of the Chamber offers legal assistance to the members.
